Synopsis Film :
Set in the 1930s, the story recounts the growing pains of Jan, whose mother died while giving birth to him and who's intensely hated by his sadistic and debauched father. Jan grows up with his stepmother, and he struggles to reconcile his guilt and longing with different women in his life.

Set in 1930s Thailand, Jan Dara: The Beginning follows the tragic life of Jan Dara, a boy born into a household filled with violence and lust. His mother dies giving birth to him, leaving him at the mercy of his cruel and spiteful father, who torments him both physically and emotionally. Raised by his stepmother, with whom he shares a complicated relationship, Jan grows up struggling to understand love, sexuality, and the deep scars of his past through the women who come into his life.
